The Simpsons couch gag has to be the longest running visual joke in the history of cartoon television. And then there’s Rick and Morty. There has been some crossover before between these two icnonic shows, and we decided to up the ante with our own take on these two distinctive offerings.

Ok, so from left to right, in case you didn’t know (and what a keyword placement opportunity this is – like an SEO coach gag):

Rick Sanchez is sitting where Homer Simpson normally would. Not sure what Matt Groening was thinking by not handing Homer a beer, the way we gave Rick one, anyways, to carry on. Mr Meeseeks (just look at him) standing where Marge Simpson and her, what would you call it? – fro? – would be. To the right, in no particular order of importance, besides Morty Smith, of course… Morty where Lisa Simpson sits, Jerry Smith in place of Maggie (Forever Young) Simpson, and Summer Smith where Bart Simpson slouches on the end. Leaving only, Beth Smith… OK, so there was overlap in this crossover. It happens. We made the couch longer, we cheated, it happens – these are cartoons ffs we can do whatever we want with them, within copyright reason. And let’s no go there, not with all these keywords hanging around soaking up the fun, like a wine stain on an old sofa cushion….
